St. Simons Island

Alfonso Mark Bonati age 84 passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Magnolia Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on St. Simons Island. He was a native of Buffalo, NY., lived most of his life in Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Fl., moving to St. Simons Island in December of 2012. Alfonso was a golf enthusiast, loved to fish, a renound vocalist, musician, recording artist and enjoyed playing the trumpet, coronet, trombone, piano and guitar. He was preceded in death by the woman who loved him dearly, Betty Thomas Bonati; parents, Luigi Bonati and Angelina Armenia; brothers, Ralph Bonati, Joseph "Mouse" Bonati; sister, Ann Spencer.

He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Ann Bonati and Lynette Faye Bonati both of St. Simons Island, Jeanette Doyle of Lakeland, FL; brother, Roy Bonati of Buffalo, NY; sister-in-law, Donna Bonati of New York; nieces and nephews, Carol, Roy, Deborah, Elaine, Kathy, Susan, Lisa, Lori, Amy, Ralph, Jr., Khal, Steve, John, Gina, Chris; numerous other relatives also survive.

No services will be held.
